With school being a distant memory, the Olympics having come and gone, the days are long and the sun is out. What a great time to be outside and having fun. With a variety of games, excursions and team challenges, children will have every chance of earning one of three ‘High-Five’ certificates, showing their growth and dedication to the Richer Adventures core values.
During the week, each day will have a High-Five Focus, which children should keep in mind during activities in order to earn themselves one of three ‘High-Five’ certificates at the end of the week celebrating their growth and dedication to the Richer Adventures core values.
Today’s morning team challenge will test each team's knowledge of the past two weeks of Summer Olympics in an incredibly fun (virgin) cocktail mixer challenge. Each team will earn themselves ingredients according to how well they do in each round. The final product will be tasted by an independent highly confidential judge and the winning team will decide on the afternoons game at Battersea park.
High-five focus: Concentration and Team Spirit
Last week children learnt a little about the historical role drums played in combat and competition. Now that the competition of the Summer Olympics is over the focus today will be about the role of the drum in celebrations, followed by a creative drumming session and capture the flag at Battersea Park.
High-five focus: Comradery and Awareness
Tillingbourne trout farm once again plays host to a day of fishing fun. Since we originally started visiting Tillingbourne trout farm, fishing has become one of our most popular excursions. It is a wonderful experience for children and serves as an excellent introduction to much loved pastime.
High-five focus: Patience and Focus
Today the children will learn about building designs and structures that can bare weight and withstand the forces of nature. They will get a chance to build their own structures to be tested later on after a trip to climb up some purpose built structures.
High-five focus: Resilience and Problem solving
Today children should prepare to get wet, climb up, jump off, slip and slide all over the inflatable obstacle course at the Liquid Leisure Water Park. This is a day of fun in the sun if there ever was one.
High-five focus: Balance and Exploration
